Our stay at the Lookout Tower was just lovely, it is a very special place. The welcome hamper and bottle of bubbly was an added luxury in making the long weekend stay relaxing, welcoming and enjoyable. Having a sauna on site was such a treat, which added to our pampering weekend of beautiful views in a very beautiful place. Highly recommend.

Our weekend at The Lookout Tower was extraordinary and unlike any other holiday we have ever had. Unmatched in its location, the views were breath taking with the most scenic Jurassic coast walks quite literally on our doorstep. Our favourite part to the weekend would either be sitting on the very top level watching a storm come in from the sea whilst drinking wine with friends or sitting out on the balcony watching the sun rise over the cliffs in the morning.

The Lookout Tower is situated at the highest point on the coastal path between Beer and Branscombe, one of the best sections of the East Devon coastal path. The tower offers a unique, self catering property which has been renovated to an incredibly high standard and has the “Wow” factor. The attention to detail and the luxurious accommodation will amaze you. The views from the lounge at the top of the tower are breathtaking, which can be enjoyed at the picnic table on the first floor balcony adjacent to the kitchen area. There is no light pollution and on a clear night the sky is wonderful, which can be investigated using the provided telescope. The sauna is a really lovely bonus. The nearby caravan park has a lovely Bistro if you don’t want to cook and the owners couldn’t be more helpful and welcoming. If you’re looking for a really special place to spend a few days, then the Lookout must be considered.

Wonderful, peaceful and unique place to stay. Beautifully restored, really well equipped with spectacular views, particularly from the tower. Great for cliff walks to lovely pubs and handy for local beaches but with a wine fridge, games table and rugs in the tower, who would ever need to move!
